  • 1.  Training front desk staff for handling cosmetic patients

    Posted 11-26-2025 13:52

Does anyone have any suggested resources for front office staff to talk to cosmetic surgery patients about their quotes and following up with them? I remember seeing sessions about things like this at ASAPS and and sometimes ASPS but wasn't sure if there were any videos or manuals available outside of society meetings or hiring a professional consultant. I have a small office wihtout dedicated space for a patient care coordinator, so staff must cross train.

    I appreciate any help, thanks!

One of the resources is Catherine Maley who has presented at meetings in the past and consults:

    Steve,

Thank you very much for the information and the link. We have already reached out to Ms. Malay and are looking forward to seeing how she may be able to help us with our front desk training and overall aesthetic practice growth.

    Best regards,

Karen Zupko has been in our space advising practices for a long time too.

You might also talk with your Allergan rep. They have practice management teams who we have found to be helpful. Best of luck

Also, Amy Anderson is a consultant like Catherine Malley and Karen Zupko. Lastly, there is a company called Yellow Telescope that holds conferences you can send a coordinator to for 1-2 weeks for like $10,000 and they're supposed to come back formally trained in this. We haven't done any of these, basically just inched forward little by little. Also, not sure about how results would be definitively tracked. If anyone has a definitive positive-ROI experience would be interested to hear about it though.

Thanks, Kristopher - I appreciate you sharing that. I wasn't familiar with Yellow Telescope, so that's helpful to know and I'll take a look. Agree that tracking ROI on these types of training efforts can be challenging, but it's useful to hear what options are out there.
